Records Officer (Maternity Leave Replacement)
Mareeba Shire Council currently has a temporary vacancy for a Records Officer due to maternity leave.
The purpose of this position is to ensure the consistent and timely management of Council records. This covers the entire lifecycle from record creation, editing, retrieval and, when appropriate, destruction.
The position involves manual handling and physically demanding work to be undertaken from time to time. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to ensure they are and remain physically fit and able to efficiently and consistently undertake these tasks.

In accordance with section 92 of the Queensland Industrial Relations Act 2016, the successful applicant will be employed as a replacement employee for the term of the incumbent employee’s maternity leave. Although leave has been approved for a period of 12 months, it is important to note that the employee has the right to request to return to work earlier or later than initially approved. When the incumbent advises us of her intention to return to work, we will provide a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice of completion of this temporary placement.
