EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST | CAFÉ OPERATIONS AT THE HIVE

The Council invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations and individuals to operate a new café in the Hive – the new Cultural Precinct building currently under construction in Ulverstone.

The Hive development will provide a modern hub for local and regional tourism and public education. It will include the Ulverstone Visitor Centre, the local History Museum, a new science centre, planetarium and multi-media dome, gallery spaces, and workshops for local arts, crafts and cultural makers.  

A prominent position on the building ground floor is to be developed as a café or similar contemporary food and beverage enterprise.  The Council is seeking a preferred operator for the café enterprise and is receptive to applications from any interested parties, including commercial operators, community organisations, and social enterprises.

A supervised inspection of the (construction) site will be available to interested parties during the EOI period, to help visualise the opportunity presented by the Hive development.
