With courses and classes filling up fast, don’t miss the chance to take up a new interest or pursue your creative calling by enrolling in Wyreena’s term 1 program, which runs from early February through to March.

Wyreena’s program has something for adults and children of all abilities who wish to either learn a new arts skill, build on their existing arts practice, or enhance their physical and mental wellbeing. There will be fewer students in each class to ensure COVID-19 rules for safe distancing are met.

The program offers one-day workshops, an age-streamed children’s art program conveniently held after school hours during school terms.

Children from as young as five can unleash their ‘inner artist’ through a range of arts-based workshops, including mixed media, learning to draw, painting and pottery, while an intermediate art workshop for children aged 11 and over will help those looking to develop their arts skills.

For adults interested in building on their artistic skills or wanting to learn something new, there are course in mosaics, drawing, painting, pottery and contemporary art.

Find your path to tranquillity and wellbeing through weekly classes that explore the gentle movements and postures of Hatha Yoga, or cultivate mindful awareness of your body, mind and self with traditional meditation practice.

Plus, there’s an exciting range of one-day maker’s workshops, from jewellery and soap making, beginners lino printing, learning how to dye fabric using the ancient Japanese art of Shibori, and making your own terracotta clay dragon.

Wyreena’s 2021 Term 1 brochure is available online. You can visit the centre between 9am to 4.30pm weekdays to enrol or call Wyreena on 9294 5590, including if you wish to have a brochure emailed or sent out to you.
