The 2021 new school year has begun and this means that designated school zones are back in effect.
To assist in providing safety for children and parents Council Rangers will be carrying out regular parking patrols around schools during drop off and pick up times. School zones protect sight distances, provide safe pick up and drop off opportunities and minimise confusion where children are crossing roads.
Fines apply for parking illegally in school zones and demerit points may apply.
Parents and Guardians are asked to take note of the parking zones around their child’s local school as parking illegally in school zones places all children at risk.
