Changes to requirements that were due to take effect for contact registers and the SafeWA app on 12 February have been brought forward, and are now in effect.
The expansion includes businesses such as retail venues, certain types of commercial transport, takeaway services, certain outdoor functions and gatherings, and visitors at all WA private and public hospitals.
Contact tracing is one of the most effective measures in controlling the spread of COVID-19 if a community outbreak occurs and ensures potential chains of transmission are interrupted.
That’s why it’s absolutely vital, that everyone downloads the SafeWA app and signs in every time you visit one of the listed venues.
So when you are picking up lunch or dinner, or even a takeaway coffee, you must ALWAYS sign in.
Every venue also needs to provide a paper-based contact register system as well, so if you do not have the app, you can leave your name.
