Published on 04 February 2021

The Mayor, Cr Kevin Bailey, has called a Special Meeting of the Council.

The Premier Mark McGowan has announced Bushfire Relief Payments for those severely impacted by the fires and suggested that the most efficient way to administer the grant funding is through each affected local government. The expenditure would then be recouped from the grant funding provided by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.

The purpose of the Special Meeting is to discuss and resolve the facilitation of Bushfire Relief Payments by the City of Swan, commencing Monday, February 8, 2021.

The meeting is to be held as follows:

Date: Friday, February 5, 2021 Time: 3pm Venue: Electronic meeting

The agenda for the meeting will be available on the City's website prior to the meeting.

Due to the public health emergency and state of emergency which exists in WA, and the current lockdown for the Perth metropolitan area, the meeting will be held by electronic means, without public attendance.

This meeting is unable to be live-streamed. The City is currently investigating methods to record the meeting and make the recording available on our website.

Time will be allocated for public question time. Members of the public must provide any questions in writing by 12noon, Friday, 5 February 2021, by emailing [email protected]. For any enquires, please contact the City by telephone on 9267 9267 or email [email protected]
