An opportunity exists for a permanent full time Plumber to join Isaac Regional Council’s Water & Waste Directorate, based in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the Network Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing and maintain plumbing and water and waste reticulation across the Isaac region network.
About you:
We are seeking an enthusiastic trade qualified Plumber who is self-motivated and excels in meeting deadlines within in a collaborative team environment. Candidates will require flexibility to work across the region and must have up to date Hepatitis vaccinations or willingness to obtain.
Responsibilities:
Comply with legislative requirements that surround the operations of water and waste networks; Meet water quality guidelines as per government legislation; Undertake repairs to water and sewerage infrastructure including water and sewerage mains and services; Compile accurate records of infrastructure alterations; Carry out water pressure and flow tests and required; Test and carry out maintenance functions on backflow prevention devices Conduct risk management analyses regularly and identifying threats of safety, quality, the environment and financial function; Actively contribute to the team and promote best practice; Availability to carry out reasonable overtime and participate in an on-call roster;For this position we offer:
Base Salary + Additional Market Loading Nominally 76 hours per fortnight as per roster Fortnightly RDO’s Subsidised Housing or $100 per housing allowance Tool of Trade Vehicle 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading pro-rata 12% super (in accordance with policy)What it’s like to work and live in the Isaac region
