The region’s young bookworms will soon be able to participate in the Armidale Regional Library Storytime Sessions to be held in both Guyra and Armidale each week.

The popular reading sessions have been on hold since March 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, but are set to return from Monday 15 February, 2021.

“Our Storytime Sessions have always been very popular, as they are a fun and interactive way to encourage reading from a young age,” said Armidale Regional Council General Manager James Roncon.

“Each week the children read a book and do fun activities for up to an hour, and the sessions are free for all to attend.”

Guyra’s sessions will run each Monday at 11:00am at the Guyra LT Starr Memorial Library in Bradley Street, while Armidale’s will be held every Tuesday at 10:30am at the Armidale War Memorial Library in Rusden Street.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions it will be compulsory for families to sign in or scan the QR code upon entry.

Sessions will run during school terms only.
