The annual Hanging Rock Reserve screening of Peter Weir’s iconic film Picnic at Hanging Rock will be this year be held in the East Paddock, offering a different view of the rock as the sun goes down.

Additionally, this new location within the reserve ensures the event can be converted into a drive-in cinema experience if the weather isn’t ideal.

Held on Saturday 13 February, guests are encouraged to embrace the theme by packing a picnic and dressing up as their favourite Picnic at Hanging Rock character.

Local wineries Hesket Estate and Parkside Winery Estate are getting into the picnic spirit and will offering tastings and sales prior to the movie screening.

Tickets are $25 adult, $10 children and $60 for a family and must be pre-purchased online by 2pm on Friday 12 February.

Gates will open at 7pm, with the film beginning around 8:15pm.
