Macedon Ranges Shire Council is inviting feedback on a draft strategic environmental works plan for several waterway reserves in the Port Phillip and Westernport Catchment.
Waterways in the Macedon Ranges are highly valued for their significant landscape, recreation and environmental importance.
Council manages multiple waterway reserves that provide valuable habitat and play an essential role in landscape connectivity.
The draft strategic environmental plan will guide works along each waterway to improve water quality and habitat values through strategic weed management and revegetation.
The draft plan, which covers 37 reserves in the townships of Gisborne, Macedon, Riddells Creek and Romsey, Newham and Darraweit Guim, has been developed in partnership with Melbourne Water and landowners.
Submissions are invited until Sunday 28 February 2021.
