Isaac Regional Council advises Clermont residents of a planned water outage affecting some properties as per below:

Wednesday, 24 February 2021 Between 8am and 5.30pm Weather permitting; or completion the next day

This water outage is required to install a new cross connection between the water main on Herschel Street and East Street, Clermont.

Properties that will be affected include:

Herschel Street Haig Street Fredrick Street McDonald-Flat Road Spoonbill Road

Affected properties will experience a loss of water supply for a short duration of 4-8 hours, during the works.

These works are part of Isaac Regional Council’s continuing construction of a new water pipeline along East Street and Lime Street.

The project is part of Council’s commitment to improve water service quality and delivery in Clermont.

The existing water mains have incurred a series of breaks and have reached their end of life.

Council has engaged contractors Newlands Group to undertake the project which will construct new water mains to service the area.

Newlands Group will make contact prior to this occurring as residents and business may experience instances of dirty water following this procedure.

If this occurs Council recommends flushing tap water for up to five minutes or until the water becomes clear.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding as this important work is carried out.

If you have any inquiries or concerns, Newlands Group can be contacted on 0427880216.

If you require further information please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
