Council is calling on the community to join the Laps for Life Challenge throughout March to raise money for mental health charity ReachOut.

People can join the Campbelltown Active Laps for Life team page and encourage friends and family to donate while setting themselves a distance target in the pool.

“Swimming is a great way to improve your physical health and wellbeing and we have many fabulous leisure facilities across our city where you can get involved with this challenge,” Mayor George Brticevic said.

“Set yourself a goal and tackle it at whatever pace you’re comfortable with while raising money for an important mental health service that reaches many young people in our community,” Cr Brticevic said.

“Get involved and join our staff in trying to raise as much money as possible while also improving your own physical and mental wellbeing,” he said.

ReachOut delivers mental health and wellbeing programs for young people aged 12 to 25 and their parents by providing a range of online resources and access to services.
