As of Monday 14 December, Cobar Shire Council has reintroduced Level 2 water restrictions in an effort to secure the town's supply under pressure by the ailing Nyngan to Cobar Pipeline.
Residents will return to the Odds and Evens system employed through the drought period, meaning homes with even street numbers water on even dates and odds on opposite dates.
Under the restrictions hand-held hoses, sprinklers and garden irrigation systems can be used up to 1 hour on your alloted day for watering.
Bans on watering during the middle of the hot summer day means residents cannot water their lawns or gardens between the hours of 9am and 4pm. Watering can occur outside those hours.
Residents can direct water inquiries to the Council Administration Building at 36 Linsley St, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
