Moree Plains March Bulky Waste Collection – Register Now

A $150 Love Local gift card is up for grabs during the 2021 March Bulky Waste collection!

Individuals who register their address for the March Bulky Waste Collection and present their bulky items on the kerb correctly will automatically enter the draw to win a $150 Love Local gift card.

For your chance to win make sure your waste is separated into four tidy piles; large items, general household waste, green waste and metals/ white goods/ e-waste. The following is an example of how to sort waste items:

mattresses, lounges and sofas tables, chairs, desks, wardrobes, bookshelves rugs and carpets (no longer than 1.8m) furniture (remove glass and mirrors) toys clothing and shoes manchester (towels, bedding) car seats, playpens, walkers discs - videos, DVDs, CDs, games timber, fencing, wooden pallets plastic flower pots garden pruning's less than 1.8min length and no thicker than 250mm in diameter. Must be bundled and tied loose vegetation packed into cardboard boxes (no plastic bags) mobile devices, laptops, computers, monitors, printers and facsimile machines televisions, players - VCRs, DVDs, CDs, radios and stereos washing machines, air conditioners, humidifiers, toasters, blenders fencing and wire (rolled and bundled)

Each registered household is allowed to place up to 3 cubic metres of waste on their kerb one week prior to their designated collection time.

Council’s Waste Manager, Victoria Dawson encourages everyone to take advantage of the kerbside service and get involved in the Clean Up Collection Competition. “Bulky Waste collections are great way to tidy up our home and neighbourhood. By collecting items at the kerb, we also reduce the amount of household waste that could end up getting dumped illegally on the streets.”

Remember:

For Moree township and surrounding areas (Gurley, Gwydirville and Bendygleet), registration closes at 5.00pm Friday 26 February 2021, for collection starting Monday 1 March 2021. For villages (Ashley, Biniguy, Boggabilla, Boomi, Garah, Mungindi, Pallamallawa, Toomelah, Vitonga Road, Weemelah and Yarraman), registration closes at 5.00pm Friday 5 March 2021, for collection starting Monday 8 March 2021.

Waste must be put out for collection by no later than the Sunday evening prior to your collection week (ie. For Moree and surrounds, by no later than the evening of Sunday 1 March).

Waste that does not meet the above requirements will be treated as illegal dumping and you may be issued an infringement notice. Items placed on the kerb without registration will not be collected.
