Wellington Road sewage pump station construction works are now well advanced. Excavation works at the pump station site will continue. Directional drilling of the sewer rising main along Meehan Street will start.
Yass Valley Way rehabilitationThe newly rehabilitated Yass Valley Way will be officially declared open tomorrow by Goulburn MP Wendy Tuckerman, Yass Valley Mayor Rowena Abbey and General Manager Chris Berry.
The busy section of road linking the Barton Highway with the Hume Highway was identified for major upgrade due to the high volume of heavy vehicles and local traffic utilising the stretch on a daily basis.
The $1,855,580 project was jointly funded by the NSW Government under the Fixing Country Roads Program and Yass Valley Council.
Fixing Country Bridges Program GrantCouncil accepted a grant offer of $288,000 under the NSW Fixing Country Bridges Grant Program for the replacement of the Bango Lane timber road bridge. Council will contribute $50,000 from the State Roads Reserve and the project will be included in the 2020/21 Operational Plan.
Planned overnight water outage – Wednesday, 3 March 2021 - 9pm to 5am.Council will be carrying out maintenance works on the trunk mains at the Yass Water Treatment Plant, weather permitting, OVERNIGHT on Wednesday, 3 March 2021 from 9pm to 5am.
During this work, the supply of mains water to households will be disrupted in:
• North Yass (19 streets)
• South Yass (25 streets)

Council will be carrying out maintenance works on the trunk mains at Demestre Street, weather permitting, OVERNIGHT on Thursday, 4 March 2021from 9pm to 5am.

Council has scheduled the works during the night to reduce the impact of disruption to residents. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and we will be working as quickly as possible to restore water to your property. Council will flush the mains prior to restoring the water supply to minimise discolouration. However, some discolouration may remain for a few minutes after the water is restored to your property.

Council is now calling tenders for construction of the Murrumbateman Winery Trail. The works include the construction of up to 10.5km of shared pathway to join with the existing 3.5kms of existing pathway, to create a 14km long shared path, to be utilised as the Murrumbateman Winery Trail.
