The Victorian Government’s Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) will reshape the way we live and move around Melbourne and will bring areas around the new train stations to life, triggering investment, enhancing amenity and increasing connectivity to the rest of Melbourne.

The selection of Sir William Fry Reserve on the Bayside/Kingston LGA border as the anchor station in the SRL offers Bayside a significant opportunity to improve sustainable, efficient and connected public transport across and onward from Bayside as well as bring broader benefits to our local community.

Bayside will work alongside the Victorian Government to minimise construction impacts and maximise long term benefits of the new Suburban Rail Loop including greater connectivity with other sustainable transport options across the municipality.

Virtual engagement room now open

Engage Victoria have a new way for people to engage with the Suburban Rail Loop and learn more about the project with the launch of the virtual engagement room.

Just as you would do at a face-to-face information session, visitors can explore information boards, read fact sheets, view videos and maps and sign up for project updates – all from the comfort and safety of their own home.

Engage Victoria want to hear what’s important to you, what you value and what you would like to see happen in Cheltenham. Your feedback will help inform planning of design enhancements to the Cheltenham Precinct.
