Free yoga in Sturt Park

The YMCA will be running free yoga sessions for local women and girls as part of NSW Women's Week

NSW Women's Week will run from March 8 and coincides with International Women's Day, and the NSW Women of the Year Awards.

The sessions will be held at 6.30am and 6.30pm each day at Sturt Park every day between March 8-14 at Sturt Park (YMCA side).

No bookings are necessary, however participants will be required to bring a mat, towel, and water.

Council's Community Development Officer, Dionne Devlin, said the sessions were a great way to start the day or wind down in the evening.

"Yoga can be energising or relaxing depending on how you want to approach it, it's a very healthy form of exercise," said Ms Devlin

"Hopefully we get lots of women of all ages in attendance to enjoy these great free sessions."

Local NSW Women's Week events are supported by Broken Hill City Council and the NSW Government.

Free life coaching workshops are also being held, and details can be found on Council's online Events Calendar.
