A free information session is available to community members interested in learning more about the Community Development and Events Grants or Environmental Management Fund (EMF) Grants announced by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River last week. Up to $12,000 is available per application in the Community Development and Events Grants stream, with an additional ‘Easy Grants’ option available for those seeking under $2,000. Up to $50,000 is available for Environmental Management Fund Grant applicants for biodiversity protection, waterway health, coastal management and protection, sustainability and environmental education initiatives. Corporate and Community Services Director James Shepherd encouraged all new and previous grants applicants to attend as the process has been reviewed. “The process has changed somewhat from previous year’s and I think our applicants will be pleasantly surprised at how easy and efficient it is to apply under the new package,” he said. “It’s a much simpler and faster process for all applicants, that is designed to provide increased transparency and greater equity. “There is more money in the collective grants pool and that means more opportunity for applicants and greater benefits for the whole community.”
The session dates and times are as follows:
Augusta Date: Tuesday 16 March 2021 Time: 10.00am – 12.00pm Venue: Shire Council Chambers, 66 Allnut Terrace, Augusta
