Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) has completed works on the Murray Street footpath project in Pittsworth.

TRC Infrastructure Committee Portfolio Leader Melissa Taylor said the project was part of the 2020/21 Region-wide concrete footpath renewal program.

“Each year we undertake a region-wide program to improve our footpath network across the Region,” Cr Taylor said.

“This is particularly important in our regional areas, as we aim to provide a satisfactory level of road and footpath network for our residents, regardless of where they live in the Toowoomba Region.

“For the Murray Street footpath renewal project, Council replaced a 100m section near the Weale Street intersection in Pittsworth.

“This is an important area as it backs on to a park and is close to the town centre.”
