Mildura Rural City Council is seeking community suggestions to name the multi-million dollar Mildura South Regional Sporting Precinct currently under construction on the corner of Deakin Avenue and Sixteenth Street.
Priority will be given to submissions which address one or more of the following criteria:
Names that relate to local Aboriginal culture or language A geographic name or feature of the local area A deceased person who has strong connections with the community and is held in high esteem Suggested names submitted should be for the entire precinct.Names for the main sporting oval and indoor stadium will be named using a separate process.

A panel will evaluate names submitted, and choose three to be provided back to the community for further comment. The final name will then be selected by Councillors at a future Council Meeting.
