Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope will be a hive of activity in March with a number of events taking place at the flagship facility.
The centre will play host to Sport NSW’s Active Inclusion Sports Day on Friday 12 March from 10am to 1pm.
The free event provides students aged 5 to 18 years of age who have a sensory, physical or intellectual disability the opportunity to experience mainstream sports in a positive and inclusive environment.

Futsal is also returning to the centre in March with the NSW Futsal School Championships from Tuesday, 16 March to Friday, 19 March.

Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope is also proud to host the Wendy Thomas Memorial Shield on Saturday, 20 March. This annual event celebrates the life of Wendy Thomas, a woman who was passionate about sport and women in futsal.
Ms Thomas dedicated her life to the soccer community, encouraging and inspiring players through her love for the sport. She was instrumental in women in Western Sydney getting involved in soccer as early as 1970.
