Live music will return to parks and public spaces across Wyndham this week.
‘Sunset Sounds’ is a free live music program featuring headline acts and local musicians running on Friday 12,19 and 26 March, 2021.
Experience neighbourhood tunes as the sun goes down across three locations in Wyndham, including Werribee Riverwalk, Little River and Snowbridge Park.
The first in the series kicks off with Neighbours star and winner of The Masked Singer Australia Bonnie Anderson, taking to the stage with support from Michelle Gardiner Trio and Trent Hamilton at Werribee’s Riverwalk Park, this Friday from 7pm until 9pm.
Rock music songstress Ella Hooper will then take to the stage with local favourites Allie Eley and Sandee Facy, in Little River on Friday 19 March.
Finally, local headliner NIASHA with support from Paige Spiers and NOMAD will close off the program at Snowbridge Park (opposite Penrose Community Centre) on Friday 26 March.
Creative City Portfolio Holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud said the live music events are an opportunity for residents to experience Wyndham’s parks and public spaces in a new and exciting way.
“Sunset Sounds will encourage community members to reconnect to their community and to their public spaces in small scale events with headline performers in local open space venues,” Cr Mahfoud said.
“The events are part of Wyndham City’s actions as part of the Pandemic Recovery Action Plan, and further support the City’s commitment to accessible and high-quality arts experiences for all community members.”
This is an alcohol-free event with limited seating capacity on site. BYO food is allowed, and food vendors will be onsite.
