Davidson Lane and Chapman Street in Hampton are two of the latest roads to receive upgrades as part of Toowoomba Regional Council’s (TRC) ongoing urban road improvement program.
TRC Infrastructure Committee Chair Carol Taylor said Council understands how important the local road network is to our residents.
“Whether you live in the city or country, we know residents expect their roads to be at a satisfactory level,” she said.
“Council is aware of the needs of our regional areas which is why we undertake this annual improvement program.
“In Hampton, we’ve recently completed work on Chapman Street, which was previously an unformed road.
“Our team built two culvert structures, completed earthworks, pavement construction and bitumen sealing, to provide an all-weather access to the properties on this street.
“At Davidson Lane, residents expressed concerns to us about dust pollution from heavy vehicles using the road.
“To counter this, our team provided a sealed-road surface that now eliminates dust being created from vehicular traffic.”
