Women for Election Australia (WFEA) Workshop
Yass Valley Council 16 Mar 2021
Women for Election Australia (WFEA) Workshop Join a FREE Goulburn workshop: Women for Election Australia are running, in partnership with the NSW Government, an event to INSPIRE + EQUIP women to run for the September 2021 NSW local government elections

Across NSW women support their communities in so many ways. From running school P&C’s, building and expanding local businesses, overseeing local sports competitions and community campaigns to co-ordinating drought and bushfire relief for neighbours and local businesses. These leadership skills are highly transferable to local government where your skills can help your entire community.

Have you ever considered running for public office? Local Council is a great place to start! Read the Minister for Local Government, Shelley Hancock’s, article on her journey into politics and why she wants to see more women Councillors across NSW.

Women represent less than a third of all NSW councillors & mayors. Let’s try and change it.

Across the country, NSW is the state with the fewest number of female Councillors. We need more women at the table where decisions are being made.

That’s why Women for Election Australia is launching seven workshops across NSW; to provide women with the key knowledge, tools, and techniques to enable them to run for office, be the best candidate they can be or assist another woman with her political campaign. We look forward to helping you get elected!

Goulburn Date: Friday, 7 May

Venue: Workspace Goulburn, 56 Clinton Street, Goulburn

Time: 9am – 3pm

Secure your spot now…..each workshop is limited to 30 people.
