The next exhibition to show in travelling exhibition space ARTBOX features a photographic collection of Huon Valley moods and moments captured by local photographer Bob Frost.
Wednesday 31 March – Sunday 2 May 2021 Franklin Foreshore (near the cricket ground)
“I always keep my camera under the seat of my car, just in case ‘that moment’ presents itself.”‘Reflections’ showcases Huon Valley river scenes, dramatic landscapes, and glimpses of local wildlife snapped by Mr Frost on either his modern Nikon Coolpix P1000 or his very first camera, a Zeiss Ikon Contina bought in Aden, Yemen in 1957.
“I have lived in the Huon Valley for the last 16 years and seen all its moods,” says Mr Frost. “I am always alert for the unexpected and the unusual. I always keep my camera under the seat of my car, just in case ‘that moment’ presents itself.
“You will see that my photos reflect catching a passing moment rather than a set piece setup.
“I have been taking ‘snaps’ for the last 64 years while travelling and working in many parts of the world.”
