As part of the recent enhancements to Pioneer Heritage Park, Lithgow City Council will host a community day of family entertainment on Saturday 27 March.
During the day there will be kids’ Easter and gardening activities, craft, games, and live music between 10:00am and 3:00pm. In the evening, Pioneer Park will be transformed into an open-air cinema, screening hilarious family film Spies in Disguise starring Will Smith and Tom Holland. Preshow entertainment by Le Hot Club and ice-cream by Messina Gelato will be available from 6pm. The open-air cinema is free but will have limited seating available so be sure to register to reserve your seats. Limit of 6 per booking.
Program overview:
10:00am – 3:00pm: Kid’s activities, craft, games, and live music, including performances by The Vegetable Plot and Jake Edgley.
6:00pm – 9.30pm: Open-air screening of Spies in Disguise at dark with preshow entertainment by swing jazz trio Le Hot Club. Popcorn and ice-cream by Messina Gelato will be available. Free, but bookings required. To book visit https://events.humanitix.com/pioneer-pictures
“This family entertainment day will highlight Pioneer Heritage Park as a healthy, functional and welcoming public space,” Mayor Ray Thompson said. “This beautiful park, full of colour, will encourage people to visit and spend more time in Lithgow’s Main Street. So do some shopping, grab a coffee and meal on Main Street and enjoy the free family activities.”
