Award winning public art project, Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail, is coming to Campbelltown in April.
Six of the fibreglass koala sculptures from Port Macquarie will be carefully delivered to go on display at places across the city during April.
The Australian Botanic Gardens Mount Annan will also host 16 of the one-metre sculptures, which are all designed and painted by Australian artists blending themes of the arts, culture, heritage and the environment.
“We’re delighted to welcome this unique attraction, which draws thousands of visitors to the Port Macquarie region each year, to Campbelltown for the first time,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“It’s especially fitting that this exhibition would visit our city in the lead up to the first anniversary of our Koalatown program that combines all the work we are doing as a community to conserve and protect our healthy and increasing koala population,” Cr Brticevic said.
“We are honoured to host these pieces of art in our city and celebrate our community’s shared passion for koalas in a unique way,” he said.
The sculptures will be on display from 1 - 30 April at:
