Library Storytime – Helping Children Discover a Love of Books and Reading
Preschool Storytime programs have resumed at both Lithgow and Wallerawang libraries.
Storytime is great for encouraging early literacy and socialisation in preschool children. Rhymes, songs and stories encourage a love of language, and children also learn skills which they need when they go to school such as participation, sitting still and listening. It is also a great way for parents to meet other people with similar aged children.
Preschool Storytime is a free weekly program which runs for approximately 30 minutes. For more information on Storytime and other library programs head to the library website http://library.lithgow.com/ or find us on Facebook “Lithgow City Council Libraries”.
Wallerawang Storytime is at 10.30am each Tuesday and Lithgow Storytime 10.30am each Wednesday.
