The City won the award for Excellence in Asset Management in relation to our Capital Works Process.
We also received a high commendation for the Koongamia Pavilion under the category of Best Project Under $2 Million (Metro).
Additionally, a talented staff member, Amanda Widjaja, was a finalist for the Young Emerging Leader in Western Australia.
City of Swan Mayor Kevin Bailey said he is very proud of the City’s achievements.
“The City’s asset portfolio has a replacement value of $2.9 billion, with an annual capital works program worth over $100 million,” he said.
“Winning the award for excellence in asset management recognises the exceptional work by City of Swan staff in balancing the need to renew existing assets and deliver new infrastructure for a rapidly growing population.
“The City’s capital works process has contributed to the development of upcoming major projects, including Ellenbrook Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Swan Active Midland redevelopment, the new Stock Road and New Junction.
