The community is invited to contribute to our Bamboo ‘nest’ with items that remind them of home or messages that celebrate their family or cultural heritage. Program to include: Welcome to Country ceremony from the Wurundjeri Council, ceramic art-making for kids, cultural food demos with lunch to follow Nepalese Association of Victoria dance group Song and dance performance by The Living Koko Experience. We hope that people from around Brimbank come to Westvale Community Centre during Cultural Diversity Week (the week following Harmony Day) to place their items in our community ‘nest’. This is a COVIDSafe event.
