The final stage of the Cooma Creek Shared Pathway Project is now open for community consultation.
Since phase one of the project began back in February 2020, 82 solar lights have been installed along the pathway from Church Road to Lambie Street. More than 50% of the repairs to the path itself are complete and Council is opening up consultation on the last part of the project.
Phase three will see the installation of five seats along the length of the pathway, with locations decided by the community.
“Having top class outdoor recreation and green spaces is essential for preserving and expanding upon the liveability of our towns and villages,” said Mayor Peter Beer, Snowy Monaro Regional Council.
“This project has been transformative for a beloved community asset and this final stage will be the cherry on top. I encourage all residents to have their say and ensure we finish as strong as we’ve started.”
Council encourages people to provide their feedback via our online interactive map or by marking their preferred locations on a hard map on display in our Cooma Office. Local knowledge will ensure this installation suits the needs of our community.
