Scitech is coming to Hilton
City of Fremantle 23 Mar 2021

Scitech will bring the wonders of science to a special one-day event at Hilton Community Centre during the upcoming school holidays.

Held on Wednesday 14 April, this free Scitech event that’s equal parts fun and learning kicks off with an early childhood exhibit from 10–11am.

The early childhood exhibit is an interactive and exciting environment for ages 0-5, where developing young minds can learn through play. This hands-on learning experience is one for parents or carers and children to enjoy together.

Following the exhibit are two interactive science shows for children aged six and above.

I’ve Got A Problem, held from 12–12.30pm, is a science journey where the presenters use experiments and a bit of research to investigate how to solve some of life’s everyday problems, from the quirky, to the interesting, to the downright stinky!

Burning, Meting, Saving, held from 1–1.30pm, explores the science behind plastic recycling, water conservation and fuels as the presenters melt, burn and explode their way through a series of spectacular experiments.

This Scitech event is brought to the community by Freo Toy Library and the City of Fremantle. Bookings for the science shows are essential as places are limited.
