BREASTSCREEN VAN VISIT TO GRENFELLResidents are hereby advised that the mobile BreastScreen NSW van will be stationed in front of Vaughn Park on Melyra Street, Grenfell from 23 March 2021 until 15 April 2021 and women of the Weddin Shire are encouraged to book a free mammogram.
Western NSW Local Health District advises that breast screening every two years is incredibly important for women aged 50 – 74 for the following reasons: -

CHEMICAL CARD TRAININGResidents are advised that RuralBiz Training are offering fully subsidised Chemical Card training for participants living or working in NSW.

NATURAL DISASTER DECLARATIONResidents are advised that a Natural Disaster Declaration is active in the Weddin Shire for the storm experienced on 28 November 2020. As such, financial assistance is available for those who suffered damage during the storm in the form of a low interest loan up to $130,000 at 0.45% p.a. interest.

WEDDIN LANDCARE SMALL ENVIRONMENTAL GRANTS 2021Weddin Landcare have developed a special round of their Small Environmental Grants which will focus on addressing and preventing wind and water erosion in 2021 in order to assist land managers be better prepared for the next drought.
Individuals, farming businesses and not-for-profit community groups who manage land within the Weddin Landcare District are encouraged to apply for funding that will cover 50% of the total cost of a project, to a maximum of $4,000. Possible projects may include: -

WEDDIN LANDCARE FILM SCREENINGWeddin Landcare is inviting residents to a special screening of the film “2040” in the Grenfell Cinema on Friday 26 March 2021 with doors opening at 6:00pm.
