South West Sydney’s biggest food festival, Liverpool on a Roll, is returning to Black Muscat Park in Chipping Norton. The event will change from one night to a weekend-long event running from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 April.
A food festival with a twist, Liverpool on a Roll, promises foodies and families the chance to try a host of international cuisines ‘on a roll’ from some of the best restaurants, eateries and food trucks in South West Sydney.
Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said Council was excited to bring Liverpool on a Roll back to the community after the event, which attracted more than 10,000 attendees in 2019, was cancelled last year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“We are thrilled to bring our premier food event to a new neighbourhood and hope the community shares in our excitement. While we are doing things differently this year, these changes are necessary to ensure the maximum number of people can attend and enjoy the event in a COVID safe and responsible way.”
Mayor Waller said that for many people in the community, Liverpool on a Roll is more than just food festival.
“It is a celebration of all the different cultures that come together to make Liverpool the exciting and vibrant city that it is.
“Liverpool on a Roll also highlights the range of diverse and delicious food available in our own backyards, encouraging residents in and around Liverpool to continue to shop local and support local businesses after a challenging year,” Mayor Waller said.
Complementing the smorgasbord of international dishes on offer from burgers and banh mi to burritos, Liverpool on a Roll will also feature garden games, live music and entertainment and a bar run by Australia’s most awarded distillery Archie Rose Distilling Co.
Mayor Waller said partnerships with recognisable and reputable brands such as Archie Rose Distilling Co. is further evidence that Liverpool is increasingly being seen as a food and entertainment destination.
