Council is the authority which has control and management of this Bridge.

At the present time, the Dr Geoffrey Hunter Bridge is open for access for Emergency Response Vehicles only due to rising floodwaters. This will be monitored throughout the morning.

Residents are urged to only travel if you absolutely need to, now is not the time to be driving around unnecessarily. Follow all signage in place, drive to conditions and remember, if it's flooded FORGET IT!

Residents are reminded to take extreme care as there is water flowing across causeways and local roads. Do not attempt to drive through floodwater. Ensure that road signage is observed at all times.
