Rialto Square in Manly has received a revamp to make it a more inviting and welcoming spot for both locals and visitors.

The popular square just off The Corso has had a new lick of paint for its concrete wall and the existing metal seats have been replaced with beautiful Australian timber street furniture, a lot more comfortable for hot days.

The space has also been decorated with festoon lighting and seven large white modern pots with beautiful succulents dotted throughout the square, to make it a more inviting place to sit and enjoy.

The plants have been specifically chosen as they are drought tolerant and low maintenance, and abundant on the Northern Beaches.

As part of the project, Council was successful in securing joint funding assistance with a one-off Premier’s Grant to the value of $12,500 to beautify the area and support the businesses in a COVID-safe way with assistance from James Griffin MP, Member for Manly.

These small improvements can make a huge difference, and Rialto Square will now be a more attractive place for everyone to enjoy.
