Softball Campbelltown and their clubs will benefit from a new clubhouse at their home ground at Milton Park after construction began at the new facility this week.
The $1.2m new facility will include two new change rooms, increased storage space, a canteen, meeting room, an umpire’s room and an office facility.
“Milton Park is the home of softball in Campbelltown and gives hundreds of children and adults the opportunity to play the sport each year,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“This new facility will provide the association’s volunteers with greater storage space and a modern building to operate out of,” Cr Brticevic said.
“It will also complement the nearby large district playground being built, further enhancing the Milton Park precinct,” he said.
Construction is expected to be completed in October 2021.
