Gympie Chamber of Commerce President, Tony Goodman, says the annual event is a great way of supporting local businesses while enjoying a night surrounded by community spirit.
“These events help create a sense of community that can be nurtured as time goes on, to create a village-like atmosphere. In addition to supporting local businesses, Easter on Mary invites people to participate socially and culturally. It brings us together.
“Grab a bite to eat at Gympie’s biggest street party and enjoy the sounds of local musicians as you stroll along the Mary Street tree-lined boulevard” he said.
The festivities start from 5pm, with road closures in place from 4pm
