On Saturday the 8th of May LithGlow 2021 returns as a free and ticketed COVID-Safe Council community event with the largest pyrotechnic display ever seen in Lithgow.
This year’s event return will delight young and old alike with music, amazing lighting displays, roving entertainment and local and international foods on offer. The event will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display (sponsored by Energy Australia) that will replicate the power and energy of Lithgow’s Blast Furnace when it was in operation.
The Blast Furnace will become a canvas for lighting artists to recreate the glow of the working blast furnace and the live music soundtrack for the night will be the psychedelic tunes of PaperSun. The roving entertainment will including Cirkus Surreal, along with a variety of mouth-watering food on offer. So bring along a picnic blanket and spread out and enjoy the entertainment and the spectacular fireworks.
Lithgow City Mayor Ray Thompson said “I will be so happy to see everyone enjoying a great night out after what has been a very difficult time for our community. I would like thank Energy Australia for sponsoring the Fireworks from our local, and world renowned, Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics. As the numbers for the event are limited under the COVID restrictions please get you tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
The event runs for 2 hours this year, starting at 5.00pm with the Fireworks wrapping things up at 7.00pm.
