Apex Park in Mona Vale is set to get a new amenities block that will be welcomed by the many families who use the nearby playground as well as the scores of locals and visitors who picnic in the park on the weekends.

The modular style building will include a unisex accessible toilet, ambulant toilet, unisex family change room with child toilet and baby change tables.

The new toilets mean kids won’t have to cross the busy road to use the ones on the beach front. This is a much safer option for families, and people using the shared coastal walking path on Surfview Road will also have direct access to the building.

The project will involve excavating a trench to install a new sewer line. This will also pre-empt the future connection of the new surf club and beach amenities which will also be commencing in the near future.

During the works, there will be some temporary disruptions to access to the bike path, footpath and roads leading to the surf club. Fences will be up to protect the safety of the community and the contractors. We apologise for the inconvenience to the community during the works.

The works will kick off after Easter and will be completed in July, weather permitting.
