With the recent outbreak of COVID-19 cases in Queensland’s Greater Brisbane area and the introduction of associated restrictions in the Northern Rivers areas of Byron, Tweed, Ballina and Lismore areas, it is important that we all continue to do our part to stay safe and help stop the spread of COVID-19.
That means as a community we all need to remain informed, engaged and aware of each other as we all work together towards meeting the challenges the current pandemic situation presents us during the Easter Break and beyond.
Consequently, while the current Northern Rivers restrictions do not currently affect our community, you are still encouraged to familiarise yourself with the NSW Government’s latest COVID-19 advice to help protect our community by clicking here or by logging onto www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules/what-you-can-do-nsw .
Please remember that you also need to monitor your own health as well, because if you are feeling unwell or showing potential symptoms of COVID-19, you should stay at home, self-isolate and if you feel it is appropriate, arrange to be tested for COVID-19 at one of several regional testing facilities.
Finally, look after yourselves and each other during the Easter Break, stay up to date with current weather forecasts if you are traveling and follow the advice of NSW Health to remain vigilant of COVID-19 pandemic developments.
