Senior’s Week 2021 Storytelling Workshop

7 April, 2021

A series of professional storytelling workshops will be held during April to celebrate NSW Senior’s Week. Everyone has a story to tell and we want to hear yours.

If you are over 65 call the library today to register your spot in this series of workshops. Local Blue Mountains professional storyteller Kiran Shah will run a series of three workshops to help identify your story and teach you how to share it with confidence. The workshops will take place on Thursday 15, 22 and 29 April. On the evening of 29 April, an open mic performance will take place where, if you wish, you can share your story with an audience. The workshops will run from 1pm to 3pm and include a light afternoon tea.

Mayor Ray Thompson encourages the senior members of our community to participate. “There is so much wisdom and experience in this community and I hope to hear the stories of our seniors emerging over the course of these workshops and look forward to celebrating them”.

“The shortest distance between 2 people is a story” – Patti Digh

Stories are in our nature. They help us to connect with one another through our shared universal values. This series of workshops will enable you to shape and share some of your life experiences in an engaging and playful way. For more information and to reserve your spot please call the library on 6352 9100.
