A day at North Harbour Pre-school

Pre-school is a big and important step for a four-year-old. It helps them transition from home and/or childcare to a more school-like environment.

Northern Beaches Council boasts pre-schools in Manly and Balgowlah. In 2021, the NSW Government encourages and supports children to attend a structured and quality pre-school by fully funding two days of pre-school each week for eligible children in the year before kindergarten. Pre-school helps children by:

creating a life-long passion for learninghelping them develop social skillsencouraging the development of fine motor and sensory skillsfostering language development and vocabularypriming children to be creativeequipping them to cope with problem solving.
