Construction continues along the Penguin foreshore as part of the Penguin Foreshore Rehabilitation and Upgrade Project. The western section from Penguin Creek along the foreshore adjacent to the Penguin Railway Station is now open for the public to enjoy seeing the coastal erosion protection at their leisure.
It is unfortunate that we have come to the end of March 2021 and the project isn’t quite completed. An additional month is now required to complete construction with the precast stairs adjacent to the Penguin Foreshore Playground causing the biggest delay. This also impacts the construction of the beach ramp at Surf Club Rd as machinery access to the beach is still required.
In the meantime, please enjoy recent drone photos of the Project, as supplied by Tasmanian Consulting Service.
