Snowy Monaro Regional Council is pleased to announce that Yallambee Lodge has been re-accredited by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission for a period of two years.

The re-accreditation follows the performance audit undertaken by the Commission last month which found Yallambee Lodge to be fully compliant with all eight residential aged care standards, and meeting all 42 requirements within those standards. The performance report will be released on the Commission’s web site in the coming weeks.

“We have always aimed to provide the highest standards of aged care for our community, and this re-accreditation along with a fully compliant assessment report is an absolute testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire management and frontline teams at Yallambee,” said Mayor Peter Beer.

“Following the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the subsequent introduction of the Aged Care Quality Standards in July 2019, aged care providers have been required to go through the biggest changes to service requirements since the introduction of the Aged Care Act 1997.

“The increase in both the standard and the breadth of assessment areas has been enormous, and it has been an incredible undertaking by the team to maintain a fully compliant position against the standards.”
