Public notice: No need to boil water for Emerald, Blackwater and Bluff

Council would like to advise Emerald, Blackwater and Bluff residents that there is NO need to boil drinking water from council’s town water supply.

While these towns source water from the Fairbairn Dam, council has NOT experienced the same turbidity issue as the local water supply at the dam.

Sunwater issued a drinking water boil alert on 6 April for residents and visitors at Fairbairn Dam who receive water directly from the dam via Sunwater’s treatment plant.
