Saturday, May 1, 2021, 11:30am – 5:30pm For almost a century, the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse building has been a time capsule of Brisbane’s history. To celebrate 21 years as a ground-breaking cultural precinct, we are proud to unveil Regenerate – a free exhibition that documents the stories and secrets of the iconic building’s rich 95-year history. Spanning three ‘acts’, this special exhibition exposes the building’s foundations as a coal-fired power station and reveals its transformation from a derelict industrial space to a cultural icon, culminating in a celebration of the thousands of extraordinary local, national and international artists who have inhabited the venue over the past 21 years. Location: Mosquito Foyer, Underground Foyer, Turbine Foyer. For more information, visit Brisbane Powerhouse.
