Funding available for community groups and events

There are still two more weeks to get applications in for Round One of Council's Community Assistance Grants Program

The program offers financial assistance for local community organisations in the delivery of special projects, with $47,000 available to eligible organisations for activities/events/programs to be held between 1 June 2021 and 31 December 2021.

The last round of the grants program saw eight local community organisations receive grant funding, which included:

•          $10,000 to Broken Hill Community Inc to upgrade their rainwater tank systems

•          $7,500 to Broken Hill Desert Rats & Custom Car Club Inc to erect a spectator fence at the Broken Hill Motor Sports Facility

•          $5,000 to Compass Housing for a BBQ trailer for 123 Community Hub

Round One applications are open and will close at midnight on Friday 30 April 2021 with recommendations from the Community Assistance Grants Panel presented to the General Manager for approval in June.
