One of the world's best surfing competitions has landed on the sandy shores of Narrabeen, and we can't wait to catch all the pros in action.
While the results of Friday's swell check has unfortunately meant day one is off, Narrabeen's break should be back to pumping out its reliable waves tomorrow for the Rip Curl Narrabeen Classic.
Yesterday some of the competitors came out to launch the event with Northern Beaches Mayor, Michael Regan. Surfing royalty including Rip Curl Wildcard Mick Fanning, current world No. 1 Italo Ferreira, 2 x WSL Champion, current World No. 2 Gabriel Medina, 4-time world champion Carissa Moore, and current World No. 3 Isabella Nichols, were all smiles and full of excitement to catch waves and give their best in the competition.
Get amongst the action and watch surfing's elite compete for a prize purse of over $1 million from tomorrow until 26 April. View the full schedule here.
Good luck to those competing! This event is proudly hosted and sponsored by Northern Beaches Council.
