The Central Coast Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated leader as its Director Community Services.

The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the Community Services Department ensuring the effective, efficient and timely provision of internal and external services.

In this role you will be required to have proven ability and achievement in leadership and strategic thinking, have substantial relevant experience and demonstrated ability in the management, development and delivery of a complex range of services and have the ability to inform, gain co-operation from and motivate others to achieve short and long term objectives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a person who leads by example, thinks strategically, builds relationships, makes decisions, is creative and innovative and is committed to continuous organisational improvement.

Essential: Proven ability and achievement in leadership and strategic thinking in a changing and dynamic organisational environment and an appropriate Degree, with post-graduate qualifications desirable in management or relevant specialisation.

Salary and conditions: Full-time position. Central Coast Council’s Enterprise Agreement – Manager Level 4 ($141,812 – $151,894).
